When does the estate agent stops house visiting?
A seller decides on his own when he feels the house doesn’t need visiting anymore. When the seller is under the impression he’s dealing with a serious buyer, he’s more likely to stop house visits sooner. A negotiation won’t always lead to a sell after all. Besides that, some sellers want to if there’s still enough interest from the market for the house. The first candidate isn’t always the best candidate. That’s the main reason most of the time house visits continue, also during negotiations. If that’s the case, the selling agent should always state that the house is ‘under offer’, but that doesn’t mean another potential buyer isn’t allowed to make a bid for the house. It’s the seller’s choice how to deal with this situation. The selling agent doesn’t communicate about other bids. This could lead to overbidding each bid.
